Experienced AI platform leader to help organizations move from AI pilots to production-scale systems
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Thursday, March 19, 2026 — Anyscale, the company pioneering AI-native computing, today announced the appointment of Christian Stano as Field Chief Technology Officer. As adoption of Ray continues to accelerate, Stano will work directly with companies to help them design and scale production AI platforms built with Ray on Anyscale.
Stano brings hands-on experience building and managing AI infrastructure in production. Most recently at Attentive, he helped architect and scale the company’s AI platform to support large-scale, real-time machine learning systems. His background spans distributed systems, machine learning infrastructure, and platform engineering — experience that is critical as companies move from AI experimentation to production-scale systems.
“In the last two years, we’ve seen a clear shift,” said Arnie Dasgupta, Head of Field and Customer Engineering at Anyscale. “Companies are no longer asking whether they should adopt Ray — they’re asking how to standardize on it and scale it across teams and workloads. Christian has built AI platforms in the real world. He understands the architectural and organizational challenges companies face, and he’ll help customers navigate that journey.”
As Field CTO, Stano will serve as a technical advisor to CTOs, Heads of ML, and platform leaders. He will partner with customers on architecture design, workload migration, distributed training, and large-scale inference strategies, and long-term AI platform roadmaps. He will bridge customer needs and product strategy, partnering with Anyscale's Product and Engineering teams to ensure the Ray ecosystem and Anyscale platform evolve in lockstep with how enterprises are actually building AI.
“Building AI systems at scale is fundamentally different from running pilots,” said Christian Stano, Field CTO at Anyscale. “It requires a cohesive vision and strategy across distributed execution, resource efficiency, reliability, and developer workflows. I’m excited to work with enterprises adopting Ray to help them scale AI platforms that are robust, cost-efficient, and designed for long-term growth.”
The Field CTO position at Anyscale is focused on long-term platform and enterprise enablement. Stano will help organizations operationalize Ray across multiple teams and workloads — from data processing and distributed training to large-scale inference — ensuring that AI systems are integrated into core business operations.
As enterprise AI deployments grow in scope and complexity, infrastructure decisions are becoming increasingly consequential. Anyscale’s AI-native computing platform, built on Ray, provides organizations with a foundation designed specifically for distributed AI workloads. With Stano’s appointment, the company continues to strengthen its enterprise leadership as Ray becomes the foundational layer for distributed AI workloads across industries
